The village mixes former RAF quarters, private housing and rural surrounds around Bradenstoke and Preston, every one of them a different heating challenge. Being close by in Broad Town, we're a natural choice for Lyneham homes that want a proper engineer without a corporate markup. Back to home Distance from our baseApproximately 3 miles west of our Broad Town workshop. Base address: Pye Lane, Broad Town, Swindon, SN4 7RR. The character of LynehamLyneham has a distinctive character shaped by decades as an RAF station. Alongside the recognisable service-era housing you have pockets of newer development, older village homes at Bradenstoke and outlying farms towards Clack. Some streets are on mains gas, others rely entirely on oil or LPG; we cover the lot. Property types we work on hereEx-service homes often have heating layouts that never quite fit modern life, small combi boilers pushed too hard, or old system boilers with tired cylinders. Village and rural properties around Lyneham tend to be oil, with Grant, Worcester and Firebird boilers being the common pattern. Postcodes coveredSN15 and surrounding lanes. Here's what we deal with regularly in Lyneham. Undersized combis in family homes A combi that was fine for a couple struggles with three showers and a dishwasher. We advise honestly on whether an upgrade or system change is actually needed. Poorly commissioned oil installs We see boilers set up on the wrong nozzle or pump pressure, burning fuel inefficiently for years. A proper service resets it. Cold radiators in older properties Usually sludge, air or a stuck valve rather than a boiler fault. We diagnose before quoting for anything major. Leaking pipework in kitchens and bathrooms Common in refurbished ex-service kitchens. We track and fix properly.
